Earthing products play a crucial role in ensuring electrical safety by providing a low-resistance path to dissipate fault currents safely into the ground. They protect both equipment and personnel from electric shock hazards, voltage fluctuations, and lightning surges, ensuring reliable and stable system performance. Earthing systems typically include components such as earth rods, earth electrodes, earthing strips, earthing plates, earth enhancement compounds, and accessories like clamps and couplers, all designed to achieve effective and long-lasting grounding solutions.
Copper-bonded steel earth rods are widely used due to their excellent corrosion resistance, high tensile strength, and long service life, ensuring consistent performance in diverse soil conditions. Galvanised iron (GI) earthing strips and flats are commonly used for connecting earthing networks within substations, industries, and commercial installations. The use of earth enhancement compounds, such as bentonite or conductive cement, improves soil conductivity, reduces earth resistance, and maintains moisture levels around the electrodes, enhancing overall system efficiency.
